             MEGAN KRAUSE...

                                 (Megan & Peaches)

Equi-Touch is owned and operated by Megan Krause, ESMT. Megan is a certified therapist through Equissage and is in the process of becoming a advanced body worker through Equinology, getting certification in Saddle Fitting, and Shoeing Dynamics as well as Gait Abnormalities and lameness. She is a member of International Association Of Animal Massage and Body Work. And a member of International Bodyworker Association, that requires strict schooling with continuing education hours to renew the membership.

Megan is the official Equine Body Worker for top trainers at Santa Anita and Hollywood Park, as well as the official masseuse for the reigning dressage Morgan world show champions at Gray Barron Ranch.

Megan has been around horses for over 20 years, Megan started her show career out showing warmbloods, competing and winning several titles and medals in  show jumping. During that time is when she rescued one of her current horses Checkers, who is now 30 years old and still going strong. Megan did Hunt Seat with Checkers, but found that was not where Checkers heart was. Megan dabbled in other disciplines trying to find what Checkers loved. Finally they found something that they both loved. Barrel Racing!! Megan soon became a member of California Gymkhana Association and National Barrel Horse Association. Megan and Checkers won Several titles showing at the Salinas Rodeo and the Cow Palace. Megan then found her third child Peaches a beautiful petite Palomino Quarter Horse. It was love at first sight! However Peaches was not a jumper nor a barrel racer she was meant for Western Pleasure. So yet again it was another discipline for Megan to learn. Peaches and Megan are currently in the points at the AQHA Horse show circuit.
During all this time Megan noticed that he retired jumper Tardy who is now 18, was showing signs of pain and discomfort in his back, as well as her barrel horse Checkers in his shoulders and withers. Arthritis had set in and pain medication was not enough, that is when Megan started looking at other therapies. She tried Massage and saw such a difference that she pulled Tardy and Checkers out of retirement and started showing them again. Megan is a firm believer in the massage therapy, that is when Megan decided that she could help out not only her horses, but other people that were going through the same frustration with there horses.

Megan understands the stress and demands that the equine body has to go through during competition. She knows that trainers and riders want to give there four legged companions the ultimate edge in the show ring. Megan feels whether it is a show horse or a pleasure horse, that all horses work hard for their riders to make them happy. There is no other joy then when you are riding your horse and he feels good, and you feel even better knowing that he is happy and comfortable.

Through her training of being a massage thrapist and skills as an avid equestrian Megan will help you and your horse achieve its full potential.
